The Brussels-Capital Region offers three project allowances for wanna-be entrepreneurs because it’s often wiser to prepare your company project before creating it, rather than finding out that it isn’t viable after the fact. If you don’t have an enterprise number yet, these aids may be a perfect match for you.
Company project allowance: develop your idea
This allowance is for future entrepreneurs who have an idea or a company project and need a financial boost to develop it. You must be at least 18 years old to qualify. If you fit this description, you can request an allowance and benefit from a 60% reimbursement of your expenses for consulting, training, childcare and trade shows abroad, in addition to general support for developing your company.
Company project allowance: further develop your project
If you are at least 18 years old, have already completed a positive market study and strategic analysis for the development of your project and you want to take the next steps, you can also benefit from a reimbursement of up to 60% of eligible costs. These include your expenses for consulting, equipment, training, childcare and trade shows abroad. In this case as well, you will be backed by a support structure for the overall development of your project.
Company project allowance: take over a company
As a future entrepreneur, you may also consider taking over a company rather than creating one. You can maintain its activities or develop them further. With this allowance, the Region will cover 60% of your costs for consulting, training, trade shows abroad and childcare. Support to guide you through the takeover is included as part of this aid programme.
