The Brussels-Capital Region supports participation in fairs and international events abroad. Conditions and procedure are explained in this article.
Participate in a fair abroad
When a trade event, a fair or exhibition is organised that is specifically dedicated to your line of business, renting a stand is often the best way to reach a maximum of prospects in a minimum of time.
If you take part in this kind of event, the Region will contribute not only to your travel and accommodation expenses, but also to the costs of renting your stand. The subsidy amounts to 50 or 75% (for start-ups) of the eligible costs, up to a maximum of 4 subsidies and € 12,500 per year.
A detailed info sheet is available in our "subsidies" section, as well as on the Brussels Economy and Employment website. This information is only available in french or dutch.
Participate in an international virtual fair
The containment measures, introduced following the health crisis, have severely limited physical interaction and travel. Forced to cancel their editions, many fair organizers have reinvented themselves online. This is why the Region has also provided a bonus that allows Brussels companies to recover up to 75% of their registration fees for a virtual international fair.
A detailed page (FR) is available in our "subsidies & financing" tool, as well as on the Brussels Economy and Employment website (FR).
