The Brussels-Capital Region offers a financial intervention which will cut the cost of the consultant.
It’s sometimes necessary to seek the assistance of a specialised consultant for your business. The Brussels-Capital Region is offering to reimburse up to 60% of your consulting fees if the assignment involves one of twelve predefined areas. These areas include:
- changes in production
- market studies for new product launches or entering a new market
- legal studies
- technical feasibility studies
- digitalisation, IT security (except assignments related to the development of a website or an e-commerce platform, for which there is a completely separate allowance)
- transitioning to the circular economy
- ...
Advice for a sustainable transition
The Brussels-Capital Region can contribute to your consultancy costs, and grants a 6-month premium for transitional consultancy assignments (evolving towards a sustainable business model). The grant covers at least 40% of the consultancy fee.
Criteria
The other criteria include being a Brussels SME, not being a part of certain excluded sectors and seeking the assistance of an independent consultant with at least two (2) years of experience. The assignment must be one-time only and run for maximum six (6) months.
You can view the detailed file for the consultancy allowance on this website (FR). It includes the beneficiaries, the limits, the number of allowances per calendar year, the terms and conditions and the procedure to be followed. You can also visit the Brussels Economy and Employment website (FR).
